9th December 2011 Home Help Service ACT achieved top results following the recent quality review under Community Care Common Standards (CCCS) conducted by an independent review agency, Australian Healthcare Associates, on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health & Ageing, and ACT Health. The review assessed all aspects of our Home & Community Care (HACC) Program focussing on the effectiveness of our management systems, the appropriateness of access to and delivery of our services, and service user rights and responsibilities. HHS received a ‘Met’ rating against all eighteen expected outcomes under the Standards. HHS Chief Executive Officer, Richard Bialkowski said that the result that was achieved demonstrated the commitment of all staff to high levels of client service. “I believe that we have an enviable reputation within the ACT community as a high quality service provider”, he said. Richard added that “while this is gratifying, maintaining this reputation takes a lot of hard work and commitment and I acknowledge the significant contributions that the Board and all staff continue to make to this task.” Richard said that “client satisfaction with our services continues to be high as reflected in regular client feedback that we receive. We do not take this for granted and are continuing to modify our processes and services to ensure we have a greater focus on supporting client wellness and choice.” |
